Installation on this was overall fairly easy. I think the trickiest part was getting the two U shaped sleves not to scratch each other while you push them up where you need them to measure where exactly things will go prior to final installation.Upon initially unboxing the instructions said to test the functionality, so I did that, however testing the motion sensing didn’t “A” sound like something I needed to test, and “B” didn’t describe how to really get it to work very easily so since everything else worked fine, whisper quiet, we proceeded with the install.Once installed, the motion was infact not working :(. Reaching out to amazon they did offer to do a refund on it even though it was a few days past the refund window. However I asked if the company instead could fix it as we really wanted to keep the unit. The only thing this unit could do better than its advertised to do is turn on automatically when it detects a specific level of heat below [we all can dream].Upon discussing the issues with the company we did have to provide a great deal of details to identify if this unit was part of a bad batch of units with regards to motion. Upon completing that, they very quickly like almost over night sent a replacement sensor bar, and it was not too hard to swap out.We are so happy with the look, ease of use, and its overal functionality with regards to getting cooking smoke/steam up and out quickly and quietly.It does fit 9′ ceilings with a very gracious amount of space between the cook surface and the unit excellent for GAS ranges.Very easy to clean so far.

I personally never heard of the brand name before and I was worried due to the price being a lot cheaper than anywhere else. However this is a great hood. Looks great, the motor is powerful. My only con would be that one of the options to turn it on besides hitting the button, is to waive/swipe your hand in front of it either left or right for up and down power. Nice feature if you have dirty hands. It just takes a couple of swipes because it doesn’t register right away. Not a big deal because you have buttons as well. Happy with my purchase.

I bought this to replace a different brand that I bought on Amazon and it only lasted a little over a year. The IKTCH Wall Mount Range Hood 30 inch Gesture Sensing & Touch Control Switch Panel Kitchen Vent Hood is the best I have owned or seen in stores. It is very well packaged and arrived on time and without any damage. It is so easy to install and when installed is solid. The brackets keep it tight and nothing rattles. I like the width of the exhaust vent, it is wider than what I had and looks so much better. You have the ability to make this as high as you want as it’s two pieces that slide into each other. These have a channel so they do not rattle and it stays solid. Also it is thicker than what I previously had and cleans up nicely. This has a standard 3 prong plug so you just need an outlet. Once installed, it is so easy to use and so far is working perfectly for me. If you want to turn the light on and start the fan on low speed, you swipe your hand from left to right. Remember you need to swipe past both sensors for it to work, as you can see in my video. Then swiping again to get to the different speeds. The fan is powerful but not too loud which I like. Plus it has a timer that starts at 3 minutes and can go up to 15 minutes. Having the motion sensors are nice because of your hands are dirty or greasy, you wont get the control panel dirty. The lights are very bright, again you can see in my video how they light up the whole stove area and even parts of my countertop. It has comes with a remote control which I had no issues with. There is a charcoal grill cover for the motor which helps with eliminating odors when the fan is on. I like this since I didn’t vent it directly out. You do have that choice and they also include the hose and accessories you would need for a direct vent. I didn’t get that with the other brand, so this is a plus also. The stainless steel baffle grease grills are solid and so easy to remove, wash and put back in. You just need to put them into your dishwasher. The other thing I really like is the warranty. My other hood had a one year warranty. The iKTCH has a 10 year warranty on the motor and a 5 year warranty on the control panel and lights. That to me is a huge selling point and shows the quality of the unit. I made the video so you could see how it looks installed, how solid and well made it is and how well it works. I am extremely happy with this and highly recommend it.

Great range hood
Ultimately this is a great range hood. Powerful. Sleek. Well made. Sharp looking.Communication with the company was great.The installation manual was thorough but the minimum required height for the chimney was not stated so I had to make adjustments after I had installed the main hood. I drafted a quick sketch that might help.
