The Whynter CUF-301SS is a fantastic upright freezer! It has a sleek stainless steel design, runs quietly, and keeps everything perfectly frozen. The 3.0 cu. ft. capacity is surprisingly spacious, and the adjustable shelves make organizing easy. The frost-free operation is a huge plus, and it doesn’t take up much space. Overall, a great purchase for extra freezer storage! Highly recommend!

This freezer works wonderfully. There’s a lot of room despite how small it is. And it runs really quietly. It’s a great freezer!

This freezer is perfect for storage of my meal preps! It is quite spacious for its small size and runs very quiet. It got to the desired temperature very quickly upon plugging it in. It arrived well packed and in perfect condition. I did let it sit for 24 hours upon arrival just in case it had been tossed around during delivery. I’m quite pleased with the purchase!

When the freezer came, the door didn’t close all the way. Even after leveling it via the legs it still didn’t close. After taking the door off, we were able to see that the hinge that it was on had the post bent. I contacted Whynter who sent me a replacement hinge (it took about 12 days from the time I opened the case until the replacement part came – there was a holiday weekend in there). Luckily, this resolved the problem and I can now use my freezer. It has been in use about 2 days and there is already frost gathering on the ceiling of the freezer. It also makes a constant faint buzzing sound which is manageable but not ideal. It does fit more than I expected and it works for what I need – some extra freezer space, so overall, I am excited with my purchase.

The new fridge is just what we needed. It’s quiet, looks good, and holds a good amount of food. We really like that it’s so quiet. Fairly priced too. It arrived in perfect condition–no bumps or dents and easy to set up. Thank you!

It took me a while to find the right freezer and I was worried if i made the right choice. I decided to get one with a front door but unsure if it would have enough room. Happy to say it’s everything I was hoping for. The inside was larger than I was expecting. It got cold really fast! I put a bag of green beans in for a few hours to make sure it was right temp. I moved a bunch of stuff over and it’s been great. The door stays extra tight so I’m not worried about it opening. It does have a few small dents but not big enough to be a big deal considering so many reviews on other companies freezers seemed to also have the same thing. Even ones at stores so I think it’s bound to happen. I’m happy with it and love the look. I have a very small apartment and this is perfect. I can’t hear it making noise either so ita perfect!

I rarely post a review, but have come to learn that the negative ones can be the most important ones and I sure wished I’d trusted them. Nobody, including myself, complains when something is working good. But it’s when a product breaks down that you find out just how good the manufacturer is.I am out of warranty, and I received the freezer as a gift for a brand new bar I had built in my home. I understand things don’t last forever, however, you would hope it would be more than a year and a half to two years. Maybe this unit should be advertised as “May work great for a long time, or may not make it much past the warranty! Buyer beware!!” Bet their sales would go way down….. So, upon contacting Whynter, they were more than polite both on the phone, as well as in their emails. After giving me a list of possible problems, I responded that none of them applied and that my freezer was cold, but not freezing. After several more emails back and forth, I truly believe they did not read them, or didn’t care, as when I finally responded: “Since you: “take all feedback seriously” and “all positive and negative feedback is reviewed by Senior Management”, let them know that I agree with the other reviewers that said Whynter customer service was polite but completely useless and there are other manufacturers that truly care about their customers. ” Their response was: Thank you for your reply. We apologize that the unit is not freezing and appreciate the feedback. We would be happy to begin troubleshooting with you despite the unit being out of warranty.” They went on to give me some of the same instructions that I had already told them didn’t work!No matter how negative my feedback was to them about my freezer quitting working after being in the exact same location and untouched, they would just reply with the same things to check that I had checked and told them two emails ago. Even after telling them: “you can close out my ticket, as I just ordered another freezer so I would have it in time for the super bowl this Sunday. I would be really upset if I waited another day or two emailing back and forth and not have a freezer for the game.” They again replied thanking me and telling me to troubleshoot the same issues!I really wish I’d paid more attention to the other one and two star reviews on Amazon. I really hope I can help someone that is looking for a freezer and point them away from this terrible product. Why can’t a company just say they’re sorry and do the right thing?? After all, if their product is as good as they say it is, replacing a bad one such as mine should be a rare occurrence……

I’ve only been using this unit for five days, but I must say that this little guy has impressed me. I purchased it for a safer storage option than my travel trailer kitchen reefer/freezer, which runs on 120VAC or LP Gas. Convenient yes, but freezer temps vary from 1°F to I0°F. Needless to say, I needed a small true freezer to safely store chicken and seafood. This unit is situated in an accessible space, but a warm one at 75°F to 80°F constant temp. I switched one of three remotes installed in the kitchen reefer to monitor its temp and it is currently showing -3°F and 41% relative humidity. Kudus to the makers of this unit. I’ll post an update after 6 months, which will take it through a FL summer … a great test. I do believe it will pull through with colors flying. Recommended

Works a treat!
I get bad migraines and having to go downstairs to get an ice pack (especially in summer) was becoming difficult. This freezer is nice and compact and means that I have ice packs at the ready whenever a migraine strikes.
